Cost: $75 per seminar, or all four seminars for $250; limited attendance.

A new track of seminars titled “The Science of Coding” will be offered throughout the day Saturday. These 90-minute seminars will feature speakers presenting an overview of current techniques and supporting science, followed by input from the AAP Insurance Consultant on applicable coding and insurance claim issues. A 15-minute Q&A session will occur at the end of each seminar. While all ticketed meeting registrants are welcome to attend, these sessions are intended for periodontists.

IW2A: CBCT and Periodontal Therapy
8 - 9:30 a.m.

Educational Objectives:
• Review the philosophy and relevancy of CBCT use when treating periodontal disease.
• Recognize appropriate cases when CBCT should be utilized.
• Identify how to apply the appropriate current dental terminology (CDT) codes and navigate related insurance reimbursement components.

• Recognize how periodontal therapy plays a role in the prevention of peri-implant disease.
• Review what treatments are currently available to address a periodontal infection involving implants.
