Americans with Disabilities Act
The Academy recognizes the need to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please indicate any special requests you may have on the Housing and Registration Form and an Experient staff member will contact you.
As stated in Chapter 1, Section 6 of the Academy Bylaws, member attendance requirements must be met unless a petition for extension of your respective time period has been filed with the Board of Trustees. Contact AAP Member Services at email@example.com to request a waiver.
Recipients of AAP awards will be honored at a ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Westin Boston Waterfront, Concourse Level, Grand Ballroom B. Recipients of AAP Foundation awards will be honored at the Foundation’s Signature Recognition Event (ticketed event) on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum.

hour of programming which earns CE credit.

Hands-On Workshops will issue course completion
codes on printed CE certificates at the completion
of each ticketed workshop. The assigned CE room
monitors will also be available to assist you.
Note: CE certificates will be issued via email for
the Dental Hygiene Symposium two to three
Terminals, located in the Exhibit Hall, are
designated to print certificates of attendance.
Stop by the CE Pavilion in the Exhibit Hall (located
behind the 100 aisle booths) to record credits
using the QR code on your badge. As a reminder,
the AAP does not send CE credit information to
state boards or licensing/regulatory agencies.
Attendees can also record their credits online
or through the mobile app.
Coat and Baggage Check
There will be a coat and baggage check on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at the BCEC in the North Lobby, from 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The cost is $3 per item.
Dress Code and Temperature
Attendees are encouraged to wear business casual attire. In September, high temperatures in Boston average around 72⁰F/22⁰C, with lows around 57⁰F/14⁰C. Lightweight clothing with a jacket for evenings is recommended.

Most programs and events, registration, and exhibits will be held at the BCEC.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend this year’s Annual Meeting to cover the wide array of periodontal health topics that will be presented. Media representatives must be currently employed by an established news outlet and must provide identification before being issued a press pass. Valid forms of identification include a business card, letter of assignment on publication letterhead, or published samples of previous editorial/news work. Registration fees for members of the press will be waived and credentialed media will be allowed to attend non-ticketed sessions and seminars, space permitting.

To self-park at the BCEC from Summer Street, turn onto East Side Drive, drive past the valet area, and continue straight along the side of the building. At the end of the building, make a right and go down the ramp. At the bottom of the ramp, turn left and you will see the entrance to the South Parking lot in front of you. The cost is $17* per vehicle per day ($34* per vehicle per day for oversized vehicles).
Valet parking is available during most events for $30* per vehicle per day. To access from Summer Street, turn onto East Side Drive and the valet area will be immediately on your right. They accept cash and all major credit cards. *Prices for parking are subject to change.
Parking fees for the Westin Boston Waterfront are listed below and are subject to change:
• One hour or less - $12.00
• Over one hour, up to two hours - $21.00
• Over two hours, up to three hours - $26.00
• Over three hours, up to 24 hours - $36.00
