PERIODONTITIS: AGGRESSIVE PERIODONTITIS LOCALIZED FORM: In addition to the common features described under "aggressive periodontitis", it is characterized by an interproximal attachment loss of 4 mm or more on at least 2 permanent teeth (one of which is a first molar) and involving no more than two teeth other than first molars and incisors. Onset is usually circumpubertal and there is an absence of local factors. There is a tendency for cases to aggregate in families. Serum antibody response to infecting agents is usually robust. Formerly LOCALIZED JUVENILE PERIODONTITIS.
