1. PERIODONTAL RECESSION
Marginal soft tissue recession in which the periodontal attachment apparatus (gingiva, periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone) migrates to a point apical to what occurs in a state of health. See also RECESSSION and GINGIVAL RECESSION.
